In this festive Folkus, we’ll bring to life the timeless image of a Jolly Santa, complete with rosy cheeks, twinkling eyes, and a snowy white beard. Step by step, we’ll explore the key elements that make Santa so full of character — from practicing his merry face, to adding depth with beards and brows, and finally topping him off with his classic red hat. Just as traditional decorative artists transformed everyday objects into treasured keepsakes, you’ll create your own cheerful Santa design to brighten a project of your choice — perhaps a Christmas Eve box, an ornament keeper, or another festive piece. By the end, you’ll have both the skills and confidence to capture the spirit of Santa in your own unique way.

About this course
This month’s journey, as always, unfolds in four stages—starting with brushstroke exercises to get us ready for the Rococo Roses. From there, we’ll paint the Dove using dry brush techniques, before moving on to elegant scrolls and finally bringing the whole design together.
